Most strategy work claims to have found the best way through. We haven't, and we're a little suspicious of anyone who has. We just are where we are. And we'll keep being here until we feel we've done enough.
Whittle & Rasp started from a simple premise: hard problems in business and policy get solved the way resonant instruments get made: by hand, over time, observing the grain of wood and listening to metal resonance, by people who've done it before and still find it delightfully strange each time. Not process for its own sake. Not a deliverable. The actual process of paring and reflecting.
We take on the kind of work that's worth doing well; the sort that shapes how an industry understands itself, or a policy that has to survive contact with reality, or a decision a room full of very smart people has been quietly avoiding.
